The annual fundraising trek for the conservation of the desert elephants takes places from the 13th - 21st May 2011 and we are looking for willing participants!  Funds from the trek are used to fund programmes that EHRA could not otherwise afford such as our educational PEACE Project which aims to provide training and education to local communities about the elephants in the hope that through a greater knowledge, fears and therefore conflicts can be eliminated. 

The trek is a fantastic, 6 day awe-inspiring route, which takes you through some of our TOP favourite areas of the desert!  The days involve trekking from around 7am to 4pm (with the obligatory siesta in between) and each camp is set in remote areas of the desert with sundowner views that can not be beaten.  Although a challenge the route is designed so that any one with a reasonable level of fitness (and determination) can take part and the main thing is to have well worn in boots.
