We would like to officially welcome Neil Bone to the EHRA team!  Neil has been with EHRA since the beginning of March and is proving to be a great asset! Neil is managing EHRA's conflict prevention programe in the field. Living in the desert and working 24-7 is not an easy job and EHRA has been really lucky to have found some great staff over the last 7 years.

Previously Neil has worked  at lodges in the KwaZula-Natal area, assisted famous photographers, was a conservation manager, head ranger and most recently was a researcher for Wildlife and Community Development Fund (WCDF).

WCDF is based in the Caprivi region of Namibia and deals with human/predator conflict. Neil was involved in spoor transects, assisting with capture/collaring, monitoring with the use of VHF transmitters and behavioural ecology with regard to study animals ( Lion, Leopard, Hyeana, Cheetah, and Wild Dog). Neil was also responsible for organising the day to day activities of volunteer team members, training of local community and WCDF rangers and well as ensuring the safety and security of all volunteers.

Neil will be writing a blog after every 2 weeks in the bush to keep everyone up to date with what's going on!
