OVERHEX WINES INTERNATIONAL  - 'OF ELEPHANTS AND WINE'

EHRA would like to say a huge thank you to Overhex Wines International based in Worcester, South Africa, for sponsoring Cailin Human from Cape Town R10,000 towards her fundraising trek for EHRA.

Overhex Wines produce a wine range named 'Balance' and on the label is a playful elephant balancing and of course this brand fits perfectly with the aim of EHRA for humans and wildlife to live in 'balance' alongside the work EHRA does with the desert elephants.

“We plan to make this cause a permanent fixture on our annual corporate social responsibility calendar.  We feel that protection of our natural heritage is an essential means to sustainability for all and is an integral part in ensuring a healthy balance in our ecologically sensitive environment.  As the Balance brand evolves and gains market share, so will our commitment and contribution to this cause.  In short, when it comes to wine and nature, there can be no compromises, balance is essential,”  says Gerhard van der Wath, Managing Director of Overhex Wines International.

The  red range includes a Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend, a Pinotage/Shiraz blend, a Balance Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and two sparkling wines – the Sparkling Vin Sec and Sparkling Vin Doux. A Shiraz Rosé completes the portfolio. All the white wines retail for less than R25 per bottle and the reds for less than R30, making these wines very pocket friendly.
