Thank You to the 2009 Trekkers!

The annual fundraising trek finished without any crippling blisters but just lots of good times, laughter, sweat and more than a few achy legs! Thanks to Tony, Phil, Mark, Margie, Cailin, Hazel, Lynne, Jen, Jane, Barbara, Fiona, Doreen and Gerson for all the hard work and fabulous company. Over $90,000 Namibian Dollars were raised for EHRA's conservation projects, with this funding being ring fenced for the planned collaring programme. The group walked 123kms over 5 days through the stunning desert in Damaraland and the 40c heat! There were very tough days especially in the heat of the afternoon and the infamous climb to the top of Doros Crater, but the group coped fabulously. Without a doubt new friendships were made to last a lifetime. Thanks go to all who sponsored the trekkers, especially Overhex Wines International, under their 'Balance' banner (based in Worcester, South Africa) who sponsored Cailin Human $10,000 Namibian, and also provided hats and t shirts for the trekkers.
